Roar Kjærnstad was born in Espa, Norway in 1975. He studied at the Nansen Art School in Lillehammer before moving to Antwerp where he studied at the Royal Art Academy. During his stay in Flanders he studied Old Masters like Rubens, Van Dijck and Rembrandt. He has exhibited widely across Europe including in London, Spain, Denmark and Sweden.
